5. Who came to see you? It was not John, was him? (After be, we usually use the object pronoun; the subject form is considered over-correct.)
6. They ran as fast as us. / They ran as fast as we did.
7. James and he are friends. (Here the noun James and the pronoun he are the subject of the verb are.)
8. If I were him, I wouldn't do this. (Informal) / If I were he, I wouldn't do this. (Formal)
9. I know his brother and him.
10. All but him had fled. (Informal) / All but he had fled. (Formal)
